As a strong individual contributor, Khor Shihong found himself promoted into a leadership position in a MNC in 2015. Faced with constant management opposition and lack of stakeholder support, he found himself almost fired one year after being promoted. After months of soul-searching and stumbling upon the Harvard Business Leadership Programme, Shihong rebounded and rebuilt his credibility in his career. Recently, he was promoted to Associate Director after less than one year of service.
Shihong's passion is in business strategy and education. Finding himself promoted to an "accidental manager" inspired him to convert his learnings into a step-by-step framework for learning management in a complex corporate environment. He now spends his free time supporting aspiring and new managers to become more effective as managers and leaders.
